"For the past few years, I've jumped back and forth between my Brandon Hall series and a middle-grade series called, The Rucksack Kids. This story-hopping allowed both my brain and soul, a break. When I get too heavy with Brandon Hall storylines, whether it be child traffickers or satanic globalists, I am able to retreat into an old-fashioned children's mystery that's a throwback to fun books from the 1940s.

With that said, I realized my protagonist, Brandon Hall, also needed a break from time to time. After four novels, I decided to reward all of Brandon's hard work with a family beach vacation on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Of course, while on vacation I take him down a few rabbit holes where he bumps into corrupt law enforcement officers, sharks, and a full-scale war with MS-13, but I digress. For faithful fans, you will pick up on the breadcrumbs I planted for this story in the fourth Brandon Hall book, Adrenochrome.

This is a sand-between-your-toes action-packed beach read to help you during those long dog days of winter. I hope you enjoy, Cape Charles in Crimson."
